When chanted daily with devotion, the mantra is said to bring radical changes in your mental and physical wellness. ![]() In Shiv Purana, the story goes that Chandra, the Moon God, was cursed by King Daksha, and the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra was given by Rishi Markandeya to Daksha’s daughter Sati to pray for the Moon. It is also known as ‘Rudra Mantra’ or ‘Trayambakam Mantra’, which is said to have been created by Rishi Markandeya. ‘Maha’, which means great, ‘Mrityun’ means death and ‘Jaya’ means victory, which when chanted brings conquer or victory over death. ![]() ![]() This mantra is related to Lord Shiva and has the power to overcome all odds.
